Cosmetics owners to attend workshop
All Phnom Penh Beauty Salon owners are invited by the government’s Health Ministry to attend cosmetics workshop on May 5 in an attempt to address the sales of beauty products throughout Cambodia, reported the Post.
There are owners of 36 beauty salons being invited to attend meeting. All salon owners will need to receive training from the ministry and complete a specialized four-year course before they can obtain their license.
Sok Sokun, director of Phnom Penh’s municipal Health Department, was quoted by the Post as saying that all the capital’s beauty salon owners were encouraged to attend the May 5 meeting.
“We are afraid that those creams affect people’s health,” he said. “We want them to respect the law. They must get a licence to run a beauty salon in the future.”
