Vietnamese fertilizer plant in Cambodia
Recently, Vietnam started operating its largest fertilizer plant in Kandal Province on Thursday, which was funded US$65 million project by Vietnam.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said at the opening Thursday morning that The Kien Svay facility is expected to be produce half a million tons of fertilizer per year, employing 300 workers. He added that the fertilizer can be used on any soil and will lower the price of fertilizer, reported VOA Khmer.
Vietnam became the top agricultural investor in Cambodia in 2009.
On Saturday, the premier left for Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam in order to attend an investment conference and attract more Vietnamese investors.
